My Dad just gave me a Nickel folder 38 to 61. He had it in a safe for about 5 years. All of the nickels have a rough black strip around the rim and a few with green on them. Is there anything I can do to save these?
Rest in Peace

Dump them in acetone (any paint store has it) in a glass or metal container and let them soak overnight, then try cleaning those edges with a soft cloth. Should work on green, at least.
