I am wondering if anyone has seen one of these and if you have any info on it. I can't seem to find out much about it other than it is not silver. Thanks,

It's the famous "Churchill Crown". Face value 5 shillings, cupronickel. Mintage 9.64 million, CV $2 in Unc.

It's famous for being widely considered one of the ugliest coins ever produced by Britain. It's also notoriously difficult to obtain one in high grade, due to the lack of care in manufacture, the large size and the large expanses of flat areas on the coin where nicks and dints stand out like a sore thumb. None have ever been graded above MS65 by PCGS.

It was also the first time since the end of the Cromwell Protectorate in 1658 that a non-royal person's portrait appeared on British coinage.

Thanks for the info Sap. While it may not be the best looking coin I have ever seen it is far from being the ugliest. I can see hints of blue in this one and it is in pretty good shape. Of course the lady on the back is alot better looking than ole Churchill.
