Hello. My dad gave me a scrip from Red Ash KY Procter Coal Co. It is a $1.00 piece that is a hexagon shape. I cannot find much about this piece. My family used to work in this coal mine and I have been trying to research anything I can about it. If anyone has any tips for me, I would greatly appreciate it:) Thanks, Samantha

I see that this thread has been moved from the "Welcome introduce yourself here" forum to the "US Paper Money & Banknotes" forum.

The piece that the OP is describing is a token (not paper)....Recommend moving it to the "Identification: Unidentified Coins, Medals, and Tokens" forum....(She might get better visibility and better help in the proper forum). Feel free to delete this post at your discretion...no hard feelings here.
