Hello All,
It seems that President Obama has pardoned more tham just a Thanksgiving Turkey this year. Pardons were given for mutilating coins, and counterfeiting. I can not seem to find any further information than this basic pardon story. Does anyone know the details of what these rascles did?

A)-Scoey Lathaniel Morris, of Crosby, Texas, sentenced in 1991 to three years of probation and $1,200 restitution for counterfeiting offenses.

B)-Ronald Lee Foster, of Beaver Falls, Pa., sentenced in 1963 to a year of probation and a $20 fine for mutilating coins.

Nicely done, JMerrick.

I came into this thread wondering whether I'd have to start swinging the cluebat (). As it turns out, the numismatic relationship is obvious.

Now, the counterfeiter is a bit harder to look up, as he apparently doesn't like publicity, but according to the laws he was charged with, it seems he liked to print bogus checks.
