The seller states "these rolls have never been opened" which, of course, is true since he rolled them himself a few days ago. 100% scam.

One thing that is to be learned here is that if you are buying coins and enjoying the collector mentality with no worries about hitting the mother lode then you will be fulfilled. The easiest way to ruin the hobby fun is to start wanting to make big $$ on it.......lends itself to bad purchases and misery. You are better off finding what you like and setting realistic goals for getting your 'dream coin/s', then buying quality stuff.
Rest in Peace

I just can't believe this guy made almost $5000 dollars, but chances are that he's going to get 5 returns for every 1 kept...and that 1 kept will be at a lower price. Still, you know, its terrible. I'm going to be listing 300 coins to make $1500 or so and working for DAYS while this chump just rolls some garbage up and makes a killing? It's completely unfair.

This is an investment that you want to not tamper with, and wait until you are sure a return on your money will come. Opening the roll now is risky, the longer you keep it in one piece, the higher return you will see.

Possibly the avoidance of neg feedback (so far) supports sustained self confidence in the notion that the above warning is no longer necessary?

The longer you keep it unopened, the closer to the end of the statute of limitations for fraud.

Remember the guy who sold Statehood Quarters for less than face, months, sometimes years, before issue date? You can bet ebay remembers, he was the reason they changed the rules on advance orders in listings.

IIRC, he took something like $400,000 in advanced payments that ebay eventually made good on, getting as little as $2 a roll for the last coins, due in 5-8 years.

His feedback was excellent, and hilarious. It was typical to read a couple dozen positives for excellent product and fast delivery for coins that might not exist for another year.

How? Simple. He'd put right in the ad that if you left +FB, he'd give you free shipping!

I forgot I commented on this thread. I just posted a similar auction for discussion here yesterday. It's BS, plain and simple.
