One of my local stops, got in a 1915 2 1/2 dollar gold coin.
It seems to be in XF or better condition. There is a small
ding on God (In God We Trust) other than that on first look,
I would say it is problem free.

Just wanting to make sure I don't pay to much, but wanting
to get a couple coins put away for when I start the gold
page on the 7070.

If anyone has been buying coins like this I'd like to
know what they think a fair price is.
Rest in Peace

With $175 worth of gold, I'd say around $230-$260.

? ... really .. they offered it to me for $170.
If that is the case .. I better run back down and get it.

Maybe I am way off on the grade .. sometimes when I just take a first look .. I don't see everything ..

Quarter indian eagles always command a premium over melt, especially if problem free. I would buy them all day long at $170 if genuine, but I'd also be a bit more suspicious at that price since there are many fakes. Of course if it was fake and made of the right amount of gold, you'd still be ok at that price...:-)

I didn't know you could buy any US gold for that kind of money.

I will post some pics .. I just worry .. when I looked at it Tuesday, I just gave it a quick look,
thinking it was going to be well into the $200's. I do not think there was to much wrong with it.
From experience, for me, I see more about a coin when I go back for the second look.

Like I said at the beginning I did see a ding on "GOD". When I was told I could have it for $170,
I just told them to hold it .. I did go to the bank and get the money and go back, but they had closed
a little early. Of course they will stand behind it being real, I have and have seen quite a few
gold coins and it looks real to me.
