Can anyone please tell me if this is an error on the reverse of this Three Cent piece, and if so, what type? Thanks!

Have to wait for the larger pictures but nickel Three Cent pieces are known for die cracks, Cuds, and die clashes. Like with Shield nickels it is often harder to find a perfect one than one with "problems".

The metal composition on these were very tough on the dies, so you get the common problems that Conder pointed out.

Thanks so much to both of you for your expertise--sounds like errors of these coins are common and not worth trying another picture! Thanks again! Jack.
