No need to shout. kane, there's quite a bit of information missing here. Obviously, if you've misplaced it, you can't take a photo of it and post it here so we'd have an idea of the grade, which would have some effect on "rarity". Secondly ... I see you're in Australia, but we can't assume that your penny was Australian. Third ... value? Nothing, if it's gone. Fourth - rarity? Perhaps someone has access to mintage figures, but then again we'd need to know where it was minted to determine rarity. Good luck on relocating it and then reposting the missing info.

An 1864 Halfpenny found in Australia is certain to be a GB coin. Aust did not mint them until 1911.

If it's been buried for any length of time, its value will not be much. A lot depends on condition. More information is needed to allow a more detailed answer.

Australia was using British coins exclusively from about 1825 until 1910. Your coin most probably started it's circulation life in Australia then a freshly imported coin from The Royal Mint.

The only indigenous coins made in Australia after 1825 were the Adelaide Pound, Sydney Mint sovereigns and half sovereigns, and tradesman's tokens during the 1860's. Sovereigns and half sovereigns of the Imperial type were also minted from 1870 until 1915, with bullion gold after that until 1931.
