Just curious, what have you all found in coinstar reject slot? Is it worth it to go on a special coinstar run from store to store checking them? or should I just check when I'm in the neighborhood? BTW I would love to hear stories of little treasures found at Coinstars!

In addition to acquiring about four dollars worth of normal change, I've pulled a 1935 LWC and a 1959S Washington quarter. A few foreign coins too. I always check when I happen to walk by but don't have a circuit that I do just to look for CoinStars.

Lol, too bad you guys can't just find a $2 coin on the street down there. I'm always finding them in newspaper machines and parking meters.

Coinstar is a coin counting machine that is in alot of stores. If you check the reject slot sometimes you can find coins someone left behind.

I check them when I see them, but I have never gone on a run to check a series of them in one shot (although I have thought about it numerous times).

Found a coin from Panama and a slug that comes from an electrical box so I sure wouldn't do a "coin star run".I have never been that lucky.

Cool link if planning a circuit http://locator.coinstar.comLooks like Kroger is the main source for me. What are some of the other machine companies? I know the close grocery has one but I don't think it's Coinstar. I could be wrong.

Besides coinstar, you can find rejected coins in toll booths, too! There is a section of road that merges with the expressway near my house where you can jump on and off for a quarter.
I do it every once in a while. It's like playing the lottery!
Most times, I'm out a quarter. But, I have found a few goodies - the best being a silver Canadian quarter.

Quote: Cool link if planning a circuit Nice, thanks! Quote: sounds like a waste of gas. to do a " circut run " Yeah, but sometimes I just want to get out for a few hours. This gives me an option. Quote: Besides coinstar, you can find rejected coins in toll booths, too! There is only one toll road in my area. I cannot reach the reject slot without getting out of my car. I think they did this on purpose, for additional income.
