Hello again. I am wondering if anyone can give me any indication of the value of the year 2000, (not 2001), Sacagawea special rinse dollars. I see an indication from a certain web site that these are pop 10 or less. I cannot find any for sale, or ANY sold prices anywhere. Any guesses as to value are most welcome. All help appreciated. Thanx. Gusp

The Experimental Finish 2000p Sacs tend toward a brown copper color. Not at all like most high grade M.S. Sacs. Be knowledgeable. Most High grade 2000P Sacs. in PCGS slabs, seem to be golden color burnished P.L. dollars. I have 4 M.S. 2000P in PCGS67 slabs. They are all specially prepared and specially struck under extreme pressure on burnished planchets (Goodacre?) and, they appear to be reminants of the Goodacre run from the ICG, Tebo, Goodacre collaboration. They are not PCGS labeled as Goodacre dollars as such. Why? They are really different from my other 2000p real business strike uncs. Like S.M.S.
If Ya gonna collect high grade 2000p UNC. Sacs, get the real uncs. The high grade unlabeled burnished die finishes do not seem to be rare at all. Ya just buying unautographed burnished dollars without the autographs, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Suppose maybe the mint decided to run out the Goodacre die and polished planchets?
The Experimental Finish coins, however, appear to be unburnished regular planchet uncs., with rounder inner rim facing. They are business strikes, and darker brown copper colored, and not gold colored at all. So, check it out. Who ya think is holding onto the finest known Goodacre dollars anyways? Aint me. Would not bother. Them Goodacre special preparation dollars do not seem to be truely rare, maybe with exception of the autographs, marketing hype, and few high grades held by the insiders. Get the real M.S. high grade full talon business strike uncs. Them seem to be tough. Hope this helps. Gusp
