I am unable to find information concerning the different "varieties" of the D/D 1943 cent. Can anyone help with determining how many different types and how to identify which variety I possess ? Thanks !!!!!
or do you have a RedBook ?The one listed in the RedBook is the most valuable .however there are a couple of lesser varieties. Pics would be a great help with your coin .. There are also some coins that show what appears to be doubling on the Mint mark, but in reality they are the result of replating.
D first punched over half its own diameter southwest (low and to the left) of it final position.
Thanks Metalman for the info - I scanned the date and mint mark. Not sure it is clear enough to determine the variety. I will get my hands on a RedBook and read the information. Thanks again !!
