Hi, I just noticed that there are two different versions of 10 piso Philippine coins. I've never heard of there being two versions and haven't seen it mentioned in any books. Is anyone able to tell me if there's two versions for every year or why there are two different portraits at all?

Very well spotted. I never noticed that before.
Having checked my collection and spares I found that the "flat-top" head is featured on 2004 and 2005.
2001-2003 and 2006 have the "high-top". Looks like Krauss have missed it also or decided it didn't merit a sub-type classification.
I didn't have any year that features the two different styles.
I don't have a 2007 or 2008 (as listed in the catalog) to compare.

Hmm... they must have decided to change it back for some reason in 2006. Guess it's like US Quarters where they changed the obverse in 1999 only to change it back in 2010.

I was more concentrated on the 5-peso series, on why there are missing dates such as year 2000, 2007 & 2008. Thanks for sharing this to us.
