Can-Anyone-Grade-This-William-Lomer-Token-Please?
I asked about a William Lomer token and got a lovely reply, here's the best photo I csn take, (sorry, I'm not a coin collector). Can anyone grade/value? Many thanks and a Happy Christmas to everyone.

Hi everyone again, thought I'd explain myself when I said I'm not a coin collector! it is my coin, I've had a jar of coins since a child, but have never done anything with them and thought it was about time I did. So I'm trying to find out what they all are and if of any value. I was asked to put a picture on of this shilling token so someone can help grade it. Merry Christmas all

I did a little research ... tough one to find. Looks rather crude. The coin looks as though it may be brass. I was thinking a Conder Token but it is undated. My other leaning is a gaming token. Any one else willing to venture a guess? Without another to gauge, I would attribute a VF grade. Neat item!

shnn4: Your picture is exactly the same as illustrated in British Tokens and their Values, by Seaby, No.42. (my ed. pbl.1984).

From the screen, I would grade your example good VF to nearly EF.

From the previous thread, the value would be around 350 to 400 Pounds.
