Why did somebody have to clean it!

A nice little ding on the wing of the eagle, too.

I want to sell what would would have been a really nice coin. What grade and description would you put on the 2x2, and what kind of asking price?

OMG I feel your pain. That coin had to be MS before it was harshly cleaned.
I see toes on the right foot and a very nice face and chest, certianly AU at worst.
Pricing? Heck you know a lot more about that than I do.
Talk about cleaned, my brother-in-law showed me a couple of SLQ's he has
and they shined like brand new chrome (and AG-G). Looked like someone buffed them with a wheel.
I didn't know what to say?

Now that I look closer I see the shield is pretty worn.

Yeah, these are stronger struck coins so the rules that typically apply to later date SLQ's do not apply to them. XF+ details, cleaning and ding. Asking price maybe 40-50% of normal.

Wow, XF Details? I thought it might make AU Details.

Dang shame about the cleaning - that really makes me sick. She's still pretty, though.

Yeah, looks like XF45 because of the wear on the shield and the leg. If a later date coin came with this detail (especially an S mint), it'd easily be AU details.
Rest in Peace

I'd call if XF-45 details at $80. It's still a very nice looking coin!
