First thought was PMD but it just looks odd like maybe it was struck through something or maybe even a planchet flaw? The marks are pretty deep also without showing any zinc. What do you all think,Thanks much. John1

It's damage - the edges of the pits rise upward a little. If it were struck through the fields around the pits wouldn't rise at all.
