Every time I get one, I always go shopping for the most expensive coin I can afford so as to take maximum advantage of the coupon. Even if I can only afford a $300 coin at the time, I'm still thrilled to get $30 off! I used one when I bought my 1877 Indian Head cent. Since that coin was well over $1,000 I got to redeem the coupon for a full $100. It was awesome! If pre-1933 gold is what interests you, then I say buy the most expensive coin you can afford and take maximum advantage of that coupon.
