Hi All!

I'm new to the Forum, so please forgive any lack of knowledge on my part...

My uncle left me a bunch of coins that I've only had time to look at now.

I discovered a 1925 dime struck with a Wheat penny on the reverse. It seems to be the size and thickness of a dime.

Can anyone give me information about this? (Scans attached.)

Thanks in advance!

magic coin, its two coins put together

Dime front, penny back.

Use a real dime show both sides then slip it into one sleeve. Slip this one out of the other sleeve into the plam now its a penny , wave you hand over it as you flip it into the other hand now its a dime agian.back into the sleeve .

I happen to have a 50cent peice here the same way

Quick flip in the palm now its a dime agian

to CCF!

Sorry to hear about your uncle.

It looks like your coin has been fused together by 2 coins. The edges on the coin(s) look like they have been clamped together. Your uncle probably kept it because he knew what it was or thought it was cool.

There are plenty of knowledgable people here that would love to help you go through the set if you have the time. Not only to help you learn and identify them, but to make sure you don't get taken advantage of if you decided that you wanted to sell them.

Well, that and we like to .

Hopefully you stick around, learn a little bit, and get hooked!

Hey, that's pretty cool; I'd always wondered how that was done...

Thanks, Scoob (may I call you Scoob), for the words about my uncle and for the advice. I will research more on the Forum, and post with questions... (Questions, questions, so many questions!)

You guys are GREAT!

The coin was minted in 1925
The coin might have been made into a magic coin years later say the 60's 70's 80's
no one knows exactly when it was made

Coppertop, whoa...that must be the ultra-secret spy coin devised as an agreement between the CIA/MI5, that could be spent in both countries by their agents?
Naturally, both agencies deny the existence of such coins (cue dramatic music). Austin Powers told me as much when he was plastered on 6 martinis--stirred not shaken.

nobody quote me on that...it's a matter of national security.
