no, its worth about $9 when pricing items, try not to use the Red Book, use numismedia, its not accurate as grey sheet, but on most coins, its more accurate then Red Book

Casutherland, That second coin you just posted for $15 looks like a nice one. (I would say a VF-30/35) The first one has a lot of rim damage (I would say around a F grade), and the color is not as nice as the second. If your interested, here is a link for another VDB. http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-1909-VDB-L...t_500wt_1156It ends in 3 hours, and current bidding is only at $5.79 so you might be able to get it cheaper. Here is another VDB, seller says AU-58, but might be a little overgraded. http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-VDB-Lincol...t_1907wt_905

If I was buying it, I would start my offer at $10-$12. He might make you a counter-offer and then you could go from there.

[well the shipping is BS/] Coinstar ,what do you think coin mailers, envelopes and insurance cost to send a coin ? My mailer is 41 cents and it is right at two dollars to mail it insured.I'm guessing a lot of ebay buyers think that way without realizing the facts. Even if the guy doesn't purchase insurance, he is responsible to self insure.

well the shipping is BS I agree with Maineman. Even the cheapest ways to ship a coin other than a regular envelope is about $2 and that's about how much it costs me when I send a coin.

that is true but alot of people inflate the shipping to elevate the value of the "item" beyond what it is worth --not just coins with alot of items on ebay.

Coinstar...another trick is to inflate the shipping and sell the coin cheap, because they don't pay seller's fees on shipping.

Unless he throws it in a regular envelope loose or something. And even then, I've paid 4 bucks for that "service" before. Joe
