I received a coin from my father-in-law with a pigs head stamped on one side and the rear of the pig stamped on the other, also on the coin is stamped sterling silver(the coin is the size of a quarter).I'm assuming it's some kind of game coin hence the "heads or tails" theme of the coin.My father-in-law has no idea of where it came from, what it's for, etc. He had aquired two of them from his mother (who's no longer with us)and gave one to me.So any info would be appreciated and I can pass it along to my father-in-law.Thank you

It's a "spinner" - as you surmise, it's something you can toss heads-or-tails style, without being accidentally spent as money. Can't say I've heard of one being made of silver, they're usually brass or bronze.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

I have a pig flipper in brass. I think it was an advertising token for a meat market, I will have to check when I get home. I think I paid $1 for it as a novelty, yours will be worth a bit more if it is sterling.

SFN9475 -
Good news - I have the same coin. Mine says 21 on it, and I'm guessing it was a token used to see who paid the bill at Jack and Charlie's 21 Club in New York City. The 21 Club used to be a speakeasy during prohibition.

I have posted a picture here in this topic!

I hope this helps!
rgds,
Mike
