Got this coin in some change today, I have never seen a mark like it before. Can anyone tell me what it is?

I have a couple of sets of letter/number stamps. Could probably do a reasonable facsimile or, perhaps put your name on.
Seriously though, can you see any sign of the mark on the reverse when you view it against the light?
I would definitely say it is post mint damage.

Curious? Certainly looks like stamped or pressed impression and that usually would show noticeable stress marks on reverse. unless it was done on a rubber sheet.
I will wait for some other suggestions now.

It's interesting, someone on another forum asked the exact same question today only they had a 2005 remembrance 50c with a C on it.
This entry on our weblog was a question from someone with the same letter stamped as you on a 50c.

Just for interest my partner pulled out a dollar from the pokies with his own name engraved in it. Very spooky.

If you name is Elizabeth then you have it on millions of coins including the one pictured above.

Nice thought. Same with Rex, Regis or Penny, although I wonder if anyone can claim E Pluribus Unum!
