I finally found the Washington that went to my 54 proof set,,its been wraped up in a box since my son got into the flip pack when he was young,,The set was bought 15 years ago for 45$,my first coin purchase ever,,the quarter looks ciculated to me,,the wings look worn,,did someone get me years ago?
Yes, it is a proof because it has the Type B reverse(there are no known business strike Type Bs for 1954). The rims are also indicative of a proof strike. Unfortunately, it has a significant amount of hazing
If I was to want to ever sell these,should I try to re-complete the set,,I dont think thats a word,anyway it is still cosidered a..altered set,,what is the term for a proof removed from the set,,
