Mom found this used chair that she HAD to have. In the process of carrying in this sucker...I heard the distinct sound of MONEY falling to the garage concrete floor! I look down and see a Canadian quarter(not silver). So doing my best Sherlock Holmes imitation I checked the inside of the chair after removing the cushion. I struck "GOLD" or at least a gold colored Canadian Loonie. In all, I found $2.34 in Canadian clad and $0.27 in U.S. clad. All of the Canadian cents were copper. And, the 2 Canadian nickels were 1981 beavers! It was interesting to find Canadian clad since I'm just southeast of Chicago.

It is always fun to find change in the furniture.

Even more fun when it is second hand furniture!

LOL!

I used to know a guy that would always carry a big knife in his truck. Whenever he saw folks tossing out furniture to the trash, he'd stop and slice it up looking for coins and valuables. He once found a diamond ring!

I like getting my heavy winter coat out of the closet for the first use each year and occasionally finding a $20 in one of the pockets.

Years (early 80's),ago I worked at a gas station, You would not believe the bills/coins that would come in there! I still have a $5 Confederate bill someone passed off and a 1928 $2 bill. All kinds of Silver coins too. I figured they must have been digging through mom and dads junk draws for odd change.

Another place to find change is the junkyard...a guy I know that searches for classic car parts has found over $6K in change looking under the seats of cars. He's been doing it for a few years but hey...free money

never know what you will find. I bought a coin collection before that had a 2 dollar bill inside the pages of a book that no one knew was there at time of purchase.
