Ran across this thread from 2007, thought it'd be fun see how things changed in 4 years.

Looks like these are selling for about $185 or so today on the bay.

Very interesting.

Now I am thinking about the discussion we will have in 2013 regarding the Lincoln Coin and Chronicles set.

Regardless of any real premium still, I still love "MY" Legacy Sets ! ......

They make quite the beautiful display when opened up ! .........
EVERYONE I've ever showed them to, (including my future inheritors) are wow'ed with amazement upon looking at them !

I still collect what I like, and for what I find beautiful or interesting......any future value would only ever just be icing on the cake.

Having said all of that though......I wish I hadn't bought "TWO" of each Legacy Set (2007&2008) ......

jbuck - I hear you bro. I'm holding mine still, I was lucky to get one.

eagle - Yep, those were some good buys from the Mint. The 2007 is worth 37% more than you paid for it. Not a bad return over about 3 years.

I remember the frenzy like it was yesterday. I am not really concerned about how it is worth because I could never imagine selling it. However, it is still interesting to think about.
