Hope to get pics up soon. Please view and comment. The pic. may not be clear enough to show that this is not Machine Doubling. Inner imprinted numerial is clean and clear from initial hubbing of the die, and not pushed metal from Machine Doubling. It appears stamped. LMKWYT, enjoy, and thanx all. P.S. Here's the coin - I took the liberty of removing some of the color so as to help clarify the image.

Note to interested. Shadowing that looks like doubling on lower left of 2 is shadow from photo and not on coin. thanx. gusp

Thanx for responding. Coin is not a double die. It is an overdate. This is the only 1942/1 quarter (slight possibility of 1942/2) presently known. I have had it 20+ years. VVEDS. I like Rare coins. Time to share. Gusp
