The owner of this coin has offered it to me for $170. Should I pull the trigger?

Thanks for your time and expertise!

The link didn't work for me. It says that the item has been removed.

As long as it is not a problem coin and you like the appearance of the coin, I think it is a good deal.

The greysheet ask price is $160 for XF 1912-D, but you usually have to pay a premium for a PCGS coin. Numismedia values an XF40 at $192.

That is a good price for a 1912-D in XF40 and a very good price for one in XF45 the link is broken but assuming there's nothing wrong in the photos (sometimes "ugly" coins get slabbed) I'd say go for it.

Here is the link again. I am little concerned about the scratches around the head. Does it look cleaned or it that normal wear?

My December 2010 Greysheet shows a $145 "Bid" for this date/grade. $170 is a fair price but I'd offer $150 and see what happens.
