My first thought seeing ethics and ebay in the same sentence was
"this should be interesting"
But I see your trying to be ethical, which is nice.

I know it worked in my favor b.c the seller adjusted their buy it now price to the price it sold for just a few days earlier from a different seller.

The seller I bought from wasn't offended in anyway, she was just happy to sell her item.

bvlania, so the seller lowered the price then.Guess that did work in your favor. I see your point but I'm thinking the OP is trying to get the highest price he can.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I thought he was buying and asking seller to come down in price...

I don't see a problem with it. Its just promotion of the value of your item.
I will say this...... if a number of items hit ebay at the same time, I have always found that the first item generally sells for the lowest price. It seems to start a fever that always goes UP!
