Are you hinting at a clashed die? The answer would be no. On a clashed die the fields only touch each other. The area in question is deep into the die where the dies would not touch. It just couldn't happen that way. Looks like severe contact with another coin or something acidic applied on the coin. Either way it is worth what it says on the back of the coin. PMD
