The Canadian Olympic Quarter Series consists of 18 Quarters. 15 different designs, three of which are additionally in colour.
Furthermore, the "Men's Ice Hockey colour" has two varieties: engraved and raised "2." Somewhere here in the forum you can find pictures of them.
Mint dates are 2007 (5), 2008 (4), the rest 2009 and they were issued between 2007 and 2010.

Moreover, there are two "Olympic Loonies," issued 2008 and 2010 (plus, of course the ones from 2004 and 2006).

Man, that's a cartload of different coins to collect!

To save money, I would only take coins from circulation for my collection. OK, so I would miss out on the scarce ones that are not issued for circulation.

I am proud of my complete American States quarters collection, and I don't live in the 'States! And the whole collection only cost me $12.50!

I had to cheat a little bit on the States and I'm still not finished! At least they are straight from the roll, though.

Hello, Yves, I hope you find collecting these Olympic quarters a joy. I find them so repetative, but that's me. The only ones that look really awesome are the hockey and snowboarding themes.

As far as I know "Bobsleigh" was issued AFTER Figure Skating and BEFORE Cross Country Skiing.

And it was Men's Hockey, then Women's Hockey, then Cindy Klassen.

If you collect coins made/intended for circulation it remains a personal decision whether or not the "colour engraved 2" Quarter is a "must" for your collection (it was a minting error by the RCM). I do not need to have it to feel "complete" about the series.

Canadian Coins are rather popular around the world

The Hockey Quarter with the engraved 2 is still a good one to get while it is still relatively inexpensive. It will surely be a key and its value will rise. When the Hockey Quarters came out I got 4 rolls from my local bank. I had about 6 or 7 coloured ones per roll. From that I was lucky and I found one of those to be the rare engraved 2.

While "Bobsleigh" was indeed issued on June 23, 2009 the coins "mint date" is 2008!

The same happened for the Sledge Hockey. It was released to the public as a set, but not released to circulate until March 2010. Don't forget the 2008 and 2010 Loonies that go with this set.
