Hello there. I have a question, my 1891 Liberty Cent doesn't look like the rest of these coins. (I have a 1899, 1896 and 1868 as well)

This one looks like 100% copper or is it just a case of toning?

It also looks a bit weird on the edges on the coin, on the obverse..

PS: On the last picture there, you can see the differences of the colours. If you see the 1899 coin, the 2nd 9 looks a bit bigger than the 1st, worth investigating?

Any help would be appreciated!

Looks okay to me. It might have been cleaned at some point, but it seems like a lot of Liberty nickels have weird toning issues. Not sure on that though, I'm certain there's someone on the forum who can provide a definitive answer. I wouldn't worry about it being fake though, it's a not a key date and I can't see anyone putting forth the effort to counterfeit a $6-$10 coin.

Might be a sort of coating someone soaked it in after cleaning to make it look nice?

It also looks a bit offcentered on the obverse, since the rims aren't the same size on the left contra the right side. The whole rim on the right side isn't striked properly either..

Thanks for your input though! I'm glad it's not fake at least :)

It looks normal to me. As was previously said, many of these have weird coloring.
