I have an ANACS certified 1893 S Morgan grade F2.
I need to sell. Three questions

1) What is a fair price?
2) What is the best way to sell fast with the least hassle?
3) Would a dealer give me a fair price?

Thanks so much!

I would think E-bay as far as the where! In that forum you will find more hole punchers that just need the year and mint mark.

As far as price.... In that grade I have no clue. I would start the sale off low and look for a bidding war. If you have no takers (witch I doubt) pull the sale before the 12 hour end mark.

Few of the dealers near me would buy it for what you will get on the Bay!

From the price guides I see the coin come in at 3,300.00 in VG-8, AND 4,100.00 in F-12.
I think TwoHawks is right, place it on the bay, sit back and enjoy the show, if things do not work out, which I can not see happening, pull the auction, with-in their rules, Good luck......I see 3,000ish as a reality....

Another thought, You might want to go with TeleTrade or another auction house, with a KEY date coin as yours......

Would be a good coin for a lowball collector, so if you put it on ebay make sure you mention that.

Is your grade Fair-2(FR-2) or Fine-12(F-12)? That will make a huge difference in value. If you have never sold on ebay, I would not recommend that route as it would be very difficult for a new seller with no history to get the full value on a $1000+ coin.

Good point Bio, I was NOT thinking about, F= "FAIR' as the grade, I was thinking,F= "fine" as the grade, I thank you for the wake-up call.........PS, There is like stated above, a TREMENDOUS difference between the both grades!
