The date on that one is especially obvious--interesting how these slip by for some countries. If this were a US coin, it would be valuable.

I am just curious on the value of these DD world coins.... is there a market for these and do they worth multiple times more than the normal issue (in circulated grade like above)?

I don't know if they carry any premium.. Here in the Netherlands not, most collectors don't see this as a variety I noticed.. When I had contact with one of the leading numismatic auctioneers in Holland about a realy nice double die from Holland.. He told me to hold them as he see the market shall change in the next few years or so.. I love to find double dies in 'cheap' albums and bulk lots what I buy online.. As a world coin collector by date, it's a lot of fun going through 100's of coins a week and find errors key dates and SILVER.. most of the time I make money and it keeps the hobby free..  |

Here is one I got from ebay about a year ago. I don't think the seller even realized it was an error. At first I thought it was just a bad photo. It is a 1994 Sudan 1 Dinar DDR.  Edited by coincollector1628

Opss sorry.. forgot to add text into my reply.. 1 sen 1980 DDR of Malaysia which I found 2 days ago.. only 1 DD over exactly 9500 1 sen coins. |

The star shows separation and on the bottom of the letters doubling is visible..
