I picked this coin up at a show earlier and was wondering if I am seeing a die "flake"(or chip, but flake seemed more appropriate)? It is not very tall, but there is definitely a raised area on the springbok's back, in the middle. I was looking at pictures online and did not see any with a raised area like mine has. Any thoughts? Would this increase its value, or not?

Thank you!

@khr, I don't think that this would be a die chip, but not sure when it would be other than damage of some sort.

I agree.
I think there are deep scratches around this area that give an optical impression of a raised area that probably is not really there. A delamination usually has a 3-dimensional edge or lip, which I also do not see here.
