Stopped by the bank today. Cue shamless gloating: teller gave me a silver dime she'd been saving for me -- real sweet of her; wouldn't take it back. She also said she'd been saving some "old rolls" a merchant brought in. I figured I don't normally do quarters, but it's nice to change things up and sometimes I like to go in the direction I am nudged to see what happens. Unfortunately, only had $58 in coin to exchange today out of my normal pool of $80.

Glad I decided to try the quarters. The $50 in quarters yielded a 1954 on the very last roll -- cool part is (for this Christian) it was just literally a second after I told my wife "it'd be cool to wind up with a silver quarter after the kind of week I had". The '54 was nestled down 3rd or 4th from the top.

Same roll also gave me my first national park quarter, this Yellowstone I just dig like crazy. Ignore the canadian cent: just a coin nearby that was handy and I thought would look cool in the shot.

I have no illusions about the realistic odds of silver in quarters, but this does show it IS still out there, of course. Here's hoping for a blessed weekend for you and yours in these crazy times.

nice finds! I was not too thrilled about the park quarters because I just finished the State Quarters, but after seeing the new quarters they are beautiful. can't wait to collect all.

I agree -- the national park quarters are much more attractive than the State Quarters, though definitely very contemporary.

Very nice. Make sure you take care of that teller. Bring her some chocolate one day. That small investment will bring great returns...

Nice score on the quarter too.

Good work. It always seems to be the last roll that contains the silver...almost like your are being tested for your patience to see if you just give up before reaching the end
