I got some pretty decent buys today the the flea market here in Nashville. Purchased a 1983 S Proof MS69DCAM Kennedy half dollar for 15$ and a 2009 P Nickel in BU business strike for 1$, and then a 1964 P BU Kennedy half for 10$.

Buy the coin, not the label!
Sorry. Couldn't resist.
Obviously, there's a typo there. So, which is it? Proof or MS? Overall, it sounds like a pretty good day.

Just as an aside, did you know that the dollar sign is supposed to go in front of the number? "Ten dollars" is $10 - not 10$. Juss wonderin.

A flea market sounds soooo good to me right now. Too cold here in Michigan, at least for an outdoor event. Sounds like you found some good coins and had a lot of fun!

Casutherland,
Been to that one years ago when I lived up there. I remember it being huge. Isn't there one in C'ville, too? I got a phone quote for some SAE's from a shop in C'ville back in November but I don't remember the name of it

And not an individual error since it was done more than once. ODD for sure. Makes if difficult to wonder if an error or from some other reason. Wish my son or his wife would ever get interested in coins. They are in Nashville and could care less about anything in coins. Also, don't care about flea markets. Wonder why none of me rubbed off on them.

I am very new to coin collecting and have only been collecting now for a little over a month. I just cannot comprehend the fact that I am picked on so much in the forums. Sorry that my dollar sign was so peculiar and wrong. I didn't even realize I wasn't doing it "properly" and that it was so "ODD." Anyway, I apologize that I am not always grammatically correct and seem to make the occasional typos.

Casutherland,
Don't let the ribbing or constant corrections get to you! I do think it is meant for fun or to educate, but if not, just ignore it! It takes all kinds of people to make this site great and I certainly appreciate the contributions you have given. For only collecting a little over a month, you are doing great!
I wish this site was around during the first month that I started collecting, man that would have saved some heartache!
Nice pick-ups btw, I think you did very well on those!
