Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt, Ptolemy II, Philadelphos, 285 - 246 B.C.Ptolemy II served as co-ruler with his elderly father from 284 - 282 B.C. On his father's death, he became sole ruler. Coins were struck with date Year 1, beginning in 283 B.C. Successive dates followed. Midway through the reign, a shift in the regnal dating occured. Years 17 and 18 were skipped.
