yeah I know 6 boxes is not much but I just started. that is 6 boxes in a little less than a month. i'll keep going though until I at least get one 99 WAM so that way my searching will be worth it.

I would say that 400 boxes would be in the ballpark for my 2 99 WAM finds, since they were both found in string boxes. But there also have been countless $50 bags searched, too. I have found examples of the 1998 and the 2000 in these bags. Also, throw in the many jars and jugs of family, friends and co-workers' change that I have bought. I can't even imagine the number of pennies searched to get those '2' 99 WAMS.

My goals for the year were to do 2 boxes and 1 $50 bag a week. Some weeks I do more and some I do less. Just depends how of an itch I got. You may find one in the next box....then again you may NEVER find a 99 WAM! But you might..they are out there!

i have a question for you since you search a lot. do you order boxes or just go into random banks? do you usually get pennies from the same bank? and how many boxes do you save before you turn them in for cash? and do you turn the pennies into the same free coin counter each time? I feel like the people at the bank I go to will eventually get annoyed or wonder why I bring so many coins in all of the time. and I feel like the banks will get mad at me ordering boxes of pennies all the time just for fun. tell me about your experiences please?

i have kind of lucked out

i have 4 different routes for american pennies totaling 60+ banks, I hit every bank every 4 weeks

what I do is walk in and ask the teller if I could buy $50 worth of pennies, if they say yes, I say "thank you very much', and if thay say no, I say "thank you very much and have a great day"

i get about $600 - $800 a week

i say that I have gotten lucky is that I have a customer that will buy all the coppers at 80% spot, so with the profit, I can afford to dump all the zincs in the coinstar machine and still make a profit

wow bill you are lucky. see I can hit up many banks in my area cause I live in san diego and there are just so many banks. but there is only one free coin counter near me that I know of and I dont want them to get annoyed at me.
