Total WAM count: 2000: 170 (25 bought in a lot) 1999: 1 1998: 53 (25 bought in a lot) so to re-figure my previous post 98-2000 is 1 "98" to 5.2 "2000's" i have been WAM hunting since 2008, it funny how AGCoinHunter finds them about even

I just found another 98 WAM recently. As of my last count, I had found 22 2000 WAMS and 13 1998 WAMS that were keepers. I've tossed back into the wild a number of very sick looking WAMS...one even wouldn't go through the coin counter. I do have 2 1999 WAMS, though!

how are all of you guys finding all of these 99's. I want just one and that's it. lol. I want it to be in the modern lincoln spot of my dansco 7070. or I would sell it to buy some more wheats for my lincoln dansco. i have only found 1 98 WAM so far buy I am only on my 6th box of pennies, and that was found in my 3rd box. are WAM's more or less common for the rest of you guys?

Wow Wildbill..that is one heck of a ratio ! I find one in every 5,682 coins. If I were you I'd get a truckload of pennies.Unless you are talking about only pennies dated 2000 ?

Isn't it technically possible to find a WAM in 93-00? And if so have any been found that were not 98, 99, 00?

Quote:Isn't it technically possible to find a WAM in 93-00? Yes, but none have been reported as of yet. There was a "rumor" of a 1996 WAM found with a rotated reverse, but the only example came up missing.

Yes captainkurt it is..even possible to 2008....but none have been found and verified...a 93 (I think) was reported...but it mysteriously disappeared before being physically examined by somebody besides the discoverer.

Quote:Isn't it technically possible to find a WAM in 93-00? Yes it is. I separate my cents by the reverse first, CAM and WAM. Then I sort each pile by date, looking for a date that does not belong in the pile. I have not found anything yet, but do keep in mind that I do not roll search much anymore. I search a handful of cents at a time and all have been collected from change.

I do the opposite of jbuck...I put all the 98,99,00's in a pile and then search the reverse....and I put an occasional 88 in there to get myself excited.I won't find any new discoveries but I'm OK with that.

That is how I used to do it, but Coppercoins got me thinking about the possibility of the unknown, so I changed my method a while ago. Either way, I have nothing to show for it.
