I wanted to lookup a PCGS certified coin on Cert Lookup to make sure that the coin was genuine. The coin was from India however in the Cert Lookup, it says "India-Awadh" however everything else, the year, denomination and mint marks are the same. Is this a problem? I am not sure how to interpret this information

I'm guessing Awadh is the mint and/or political division of the coin - it was minted before India was a unified state, right? Much like individual German coins are labeled Salzburg, Bavaria, Brandenburg, etc.

It has a mint mark and its calcutta. A coin from Awadh is completely different from a coin issued by the British Empire as far as I know.

if its an expensive coin sometimes just looking up the cert number isn't enough to avoid buying a fake because the counterfeiters have gotten smarter throughout the years and surf the web looking for real cert numbers to print on the fake label. The only way to find that out is to look on the web and try to find the cert number when it was sold and see if the coin matches. I know this sounds like looking for a needle in a huge hay stack but thats is the only way to positively make sure its legit.
