Well, if you have alot of expendable capital and not alot of debits then this collection shouldn't be too hard to put together. Here is a link to a website of people who have serious collections of them going and the rankings of those collections.

Not sure just how much you can see without registering but seems to be informative on the type of coins you are wanting to get into.

Good luck to you and post pictures as you receive or purchase each one over in your CC Gallery. Would like to see what progress you make.

BuffaloBoy5 - Kudos on your Walking Liberty halves collection. I, too, collect them - started a little over a year ago, and have been able to get all of them but the 1921D so far, but I'm constantly looking for a good deal on that one. Of course, due to my budget restrictions, all of mine are in circulated condition, but I kind of like them that way.
As for your new venture, good luck to you. Unless there's a lottery win in my future, I don't think I'll be able to start a collection of gold indians.

BB: That's a pretty high order even for an Adult. Kudo's for going after what you really admire and want. Just save what you can and when the price and timing is right - go get your coin. Rome wasn't built in a day and an expensive but, worthwhile, quality collection won't be either. I know that it's tough to hear this from an adult but, you have time so don't rush it. Good luck my young friend!

Hey, That is super cool BufBoy! It is a great idea to set lofty goals for yourself to strive for. You can absolutely accomplish anything that you can imagine!

You inspred me tonight; So, I got on ebay and did a really quick and unscientific survey of the last 51 quarter eagle indians that sold to see what they were going for because I'd like to pick up a few too! But what I found is that the average price for a quarter eagle was $277. And that excluded the three most expensive coins, which were well over $1000 apiece. Only three out of 51 were priced under $125. where do you suppose you can find a fair deal on these?
