This coin is G-4 in my opinion. It is still worth a lot. $85.00

I'd guess G-4 too. It's certainly a nice example of a tough date.

Hi !
You must be generous to grade that at G-4. The coin look waved a lot ( or it's the picture effect )
The " 25 " are completely erased the rest is readable but not more.
For me it's not more that A.G 3 and maybe 2 and if the coin are waved like I thing soubstract 2 point...
Thank !

I have an 1889 Canadian quarter certified at AG-3. The fact that most of the letters are visible on this coin and on my AG-3 only 20 per cent of them are visible is what I base my G-4 grading on. These coins often have week strikes on reverse and date is fully legible.

It's certainly better than FR-2, IMO. I wouldn't argue too much with AG-3 even though I guessed G-4. Maybe on very strict guidelines it's AG-3.

Hi, rodime, Your pics, are way to dark to give you an honest opinion on grading. See, if you can lighten them somewhat.

Comparing it with the AG3, it's got the same wear on the obverse, but the face is is much better condition

AG-3. Unclear legends. Typical center wear on reverse.
