Wanting to know if I should send these to PCGS? I will have these coins for the long haul so my main question is; will they grade high enough to be worth holdering? Thanks I will have more posts:

Hard to tell from the images but with Trade dollars being rampantly counterfeited, TPG should be considered for authentication at least. Say it grades AU50, you have a $250 coin that you know is genuine.

Again, why bother? TPG holders impart a degree of physical safety to the coin (only important if it's going to be the puck in your next club hockey game), and cost you money.

Spend that money on another coin.
Rest in Peace

I kind of agree with bherring on this one. Trade dollars are heavily counterfeited, and it would be worth the peace of mind just to know it's genuine(and make it much more marketable if you ever had to sell it). It looks XF to me, but I would consider a cheaper TPG like ANACS if only for authenticity purposes.

I have only used PCGS before (recommended by a friend) what are Anacs and NGC prices? I know they are both very good companies, but I guess I was always inder the impression PCGS was "the best" It probably didn't help that thats the only one I was told to use for the first 6 months of my collecting (only been collecting 1 year this Feb)

If all you're wanting is authenticity, I'd go with ANACS. They are less expensive and are more than qualified to determine if it's authentic. As for PCGS being "the best" that may be true when you're buying high-dollar coins. If all you want is to know that it's authentic, there's no need to pay the higher fees that PCGS costs. You can go to ANACS web site to get their prices:

I'm looking at the submission form and it doesn't seem too much lower than pcgs
Anacs
$15 coin
$19 shipping
PCGS
$18 coin
$17 Shipping
am I missing something?

I don't think you have to pay a membership fee to submit to ANACS. If you are already a member of PCGS, I would submit it to PCGS.

PCGS also has an $8 handling fee that I don't think ANACS has. PCGS coins seem to sell at a slight premium (even over NGC). If and when you decide to sell the coin, you will probably make back the extra grading fee plus a little.
