3-Rolls-Of-Mint-Wrapped-Jeffersons-And-A-Couple-Of-Questions

I found these today while picking up a couple boxes of cents. I noticed them sitting alongside the tellers tray and asked if I could buy them. $56 later...I was walking out of the bank with two boxes of cents and these three rolls.

My questions are:

Are they worth more inside the rolls or out of them?

Are there any errors worth breaking the rolls open for?

nice find. I dont know too much about this stuff but I think those rolls are worth more than face because of their "paper". some people love those.

I'd like to know how 2006 is still part of the "Westward Journey" series.

It's known as "Return to Monticello".
It's the final leg of the journey, and the final Westward Series design, and, of course, the same design used from then onwards.
Some do not like to recognize the '06 design as part of the series, but it is, and the Mint recognizes it as such so......

Not really. I bought them because I only had to pay face value for them. Which is a lot less than what the mint probably charged for them.

I've only ordered rolls of cents from the mint, I'm not sure what their prices were for these nickels.

They're safely tucked away in the safe now and they'll remain intact.

Thanks for the responses.

I do not recognize it, but that is a personal choice. Since my 2004 and later Jefferson nickles are in the same album, it does not really matter where I draw that imaginary line of demarcation.

As for the rolls, nice find for face value!

I would be tempted to keep them intact since there is a very good chance we know exactly what is in there. However, I am usually the one to bust through anything that comes between me and my coins.
