I was working the bar at the local VFW Sat. night and I got two of these as a tip, they are in numbered order so I imagine the whole stack was cut that way.....Cut close to the top and 1/2 inch of border at the bottom. Not sure if its worth anything but it is different and I am always on the look out for something different. About a year ago I got a 1963 $5 bill with a red serial number.

The Red seal notes are US Notes instead of Federal Reserve Notes. I think I read that Kennedy was trying to get away from paying the Federal Reserve to print our money and thats is one of the conspiracies behind his assassination. I don't remember where I read it but think I also saw something about the same thing on a show on some channel like history channel or one of the others stating the same thing

thats a very off center cut, but as long as the whole printed section is showing I dont think it would have any added value. is the back of the bill the same way or is it centered?

i love the way united states notes (the red seals) look. I have two $5 bills, but wish I had more!

It is unlikely that the misalignment of face to back would go unnoticed after the first trimming of the sheet..... The placement of the seals is the giveaway that the borders on the back are also non symmetrical.

Yes the back is the same, it has a small border at the top but the back of other bills have more border than the front. Not looking at the value much I just like that it is different. I have 5 one dollar bills that the federal bank letter on the left spell out my last name.
Hey Bryan1315, I looked at the $5 bill and never noticed it before but yes, it says United States Note instead of F.R. note. Thanks, Tony

Tony, that is because the design of the back is smaller than the design of the face..... perfectly normal, and as it should be, (for some reason that escapes me).
