Thats a nice one Christina, very few contact marks. I can't tell for sure whats going on,on the lower cheek area or if thats on the plastic over top. if its as clean as it looks,I would say its a easy MS64. PCGS might even agree on that one. Exellent pictures also.

I'ma say 64 or 65, and it looks like it is in a GSA holder so DO Not sent it to PCGS because they crack them out of their original holder to slab them, always send GSA Morgans to NGC because they are the only ones that do not use that practice of cracking them out. It may not be a big deal now but in the coming years the ones inside the GSA holders will be worth more than the ones in the PCGS/ANACS slab

That's not a , that's a . The cheek is a concern, as TLS said; if that's on the slab, the coin is a lock for 65 and 66 is in the realm of possibility. Even if everything we see is on the coin, it's still an extremely strong 64 and probably 65. The fields are excellent, especially the reverse. I'm concerned about the darker areas above and behind the eye, but I suspect they're worse in a photo than in real life. The lower neck is also an area to look if the coi does not receive the desired grade. I see a mark or two on the eagle's breast and below the A in STATES and D in UNITED; otherwise that's an MS67 reverse.

Only a couple small bag marks on the obverse and reverse fields, clean rims, very nice luster, very sharp strike, a very nice Morgan! The only detraction is what appears to be a fingerprint on Liberty's face, some noise on her cheekbone and a little on her chin. This looks like it's in a GSA holder, so I am wondering if it has already been graded by NGC? If it weren't for the few marks and the fingerprint (or whatever it is), I'd be inclined to give it an MS-66, but with the marks, I think it would still keep an MS-64 and maybe even an MS-65 on an NGC good hair day.
Let's see what everyone else said.

the lower neck is a bit distracting but I think that the lack of bag marks more than compensates MS-64 eh 5 very nice coin

Thanks everyone for the opinions. I am sending it out tomorrow to NGC.
As for the face, that is a scratch and I am almost 90% sure that it is on the coin, not the holder, but it is really hard to tell. The eye and neck look a lot worse in the pic than on the actual coin.
I will update this post when I get it back.
Thanks! Christina

YEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! MS-66! Right on the money (sri)! Congratulations, Christina! Not too many GSA's come back with MS-66. FWIW, I noticed that Coin Values magazine/price guide now separates GSA Morgans from "regular" Morgans with a higher value for GSAs (84CC MS-66 plain brown wrapper: $1200; GSA MS-66: $1400). You have a winner! Fred
