Wild Bill Pillar of the Community United States 744 Posts	Posted 02/02/2011 11:02 am yeah, they are both there i just learned about that effect, as the blank is being rimmed kinda like hitting a pot hole with the car, it will ding the opposite side of the blank. i have not been able to find a 12 sided clip, I beleive that the clip might be pressed out during the coin minting in the press Report this Post to the Staff

Terry-T Valued Member Canada 115 Posts	Posted 01/16/2012 4:27 pm I've found several clipped cents for 1982-83-84, but haven't found any later ones. They all have the Blakely Effect but only on the obverse side. Most have part of the rim raised, with a 1983 having extra metal overlapping it.
