Please-Help-Identify-This-Token

A quick look would have you think this is a common Tiffin (LC-48A), but the wreath is completely wrong on the obverse. It is the same obverse/wreath (reduced to half-penny size) as the LC-47G Commerce (penny) token.

Coinage die axis. And it may be brass (although it doesn't look as brassy in hand as the pic shows).

Any ideas?

I think you have the right token, (LC-48A).
As for the wreath it appears to be the right one maybe a variation thereof.
The part that has me confused is the laurel leaves on the head, I see
only one leaf instead of two.!

Yes, the obverse is definitely like the LC-47G, and unlike any LC-48A mentioned by Charlton.

I expect this is a British half-penny token. But, I wonder if it had any circulation in Canada because of its resemblance to Tiffins?

Just recently signed on to this site and was running through a bunch of the old posts.
There is a book about Tiffin tokens and imitations by Greg Ingram "The Tiffin Tokens of Canada", 2004, that has identified 28 main varieties and several sub-varieties of these tokens. The one you show is listed as TF-19 (sorry, rarity 1). Courteau #19T, Charlton LC-48B1(Courteau and Charlton do not list all the different varieties)

Thanks UGLY, but it's not from memory. I bought about 50 of these halfpennies on ebay at various times in the early 2000's, just because I liked them (about $5 ea.) I had the same trouble identifying them by the Charlton book. Then I found out there was a new book about Tiffin tokens and immediately bought it.
Sold off about 20 doubles, and still have the rest. Lucky to have found two rarity 5's and a 6, and one unlisted at the time, and possibly several copper ones that were only listed as brass.
