dont think so it is for copper not exposed zinc

I would say no.

Verdi-Gone is the old product. You would want Verdi-Care.

But, if you treated that, there would be a gaping pit. It would halt and contain the spreading, but otherwise that coin is shot (so to speak).

looks like a cull to me any box of cents should have a nicer looking 85

I did not notice the "D" before.

Is it even possible for a 1985 cent to have a mint mark so far away?

reminds me of pennicilin powder on a wound....
I've tried plain vinigar swabing with ear buds, it worked to take green verdigr out from my copper centavo, but left a slight tint behind
