Look at this 1984 d penny. some of the columns look doubled and the front looks like it is indent a little.

So far all I see is a normal Cent. The extra columns, you might check other examples and see if they are different from your coin? There are certain columns that are intentionally doubled to make the Memorial look like 3-D. So comparing other examples may help.
