you can see the whole horn, the writing is all in great condition, and the date is very nice.

the surfaces look dull. Something seems off here. For my type set, I would want something with some luster, and I believe you can find good examples of late-date buffaloes for reasonable prices.

i specifically want a '31 s for my set though. but yeah I love the details on this one, but the dullness is the only thing I do not particularly care for. thanks for the input specks.
i want more input on this coin as well from others.

I wouldn't bid more than $15.00 + the $2.00 S+H = $17.00 Of course it depends on how bad you want it.

The color may be the result of the photo? Might ask the seller about that.

$17.00 would be a fair price considering it's E-Bay, and there is always a chance on not getting what you pay for.

i just now emailed her about the color and if it is dull in real life or if it was the camera. we'll see. I like the coin a lot but dislike the dullness, like I mentioned before.

Agree reverse is gorgeous virtually no wear. Probably worth a bid on the chance that the obverse is just weakly struck!

I'll say AU-50 based on strength of the reverse dull luster would not be unusual for a coin in that grade. Minimum XF45

the reverse is a little stronger than the obverse, which is good for a Buffalo nickel, since it gets more scrutiny-judging by the pics it would be hard to go AU, but a solid XF for sure

The front with the worn feathers is looks VF + and the back is very nice, a solid XF+ maybe even AU.The seller is pretty much in the ballpark for grade and if you can get it for under $22 (including shipping) I'd say it's a pretty fair deal.
