I was curious what banks people use to get their boxes of coins without any fees? My bank charges a fee for halves and dollars because they don't carry those rolls. Also is it better to buy boxes or get customer rolls? Cause my bank will also charge you if they have to order more rolls for you or you can take what they have available.
I live near a TCF, Flagstar, Bank of America and 5th 3rd if anyone is familiar with these banks and could give me some info.

From what I've read, seen, heard and experienced TCF is a decent bank to swap rolls in and out. There more of a small bank in my area (Illinois) You see a lot of them in grocery stores and what not. You can try hitting them up. They usually dont care, but everyones different.
Bank of America is HUGE in our area. If you have an account with them they'll bend over backwards for you.
Fifth-Third and Harris Banks are the same way.

I dump at TCF (there are a lot of TCF branches in the Chicago area) - whether they will order or not depends on the branch. Unless one of us lives within 5 miles or so of you, there's no hard and fast rules as to which banks will order what. I have branches of the same bank in the same town tell me different things or even try to charge me fees. Your best bet is to talk to a few tellers at a few banks and see what they'll do for you. I've had banks promise to order me boxes of halves just to sign me up. Shop around. Go in at odd hours (like on Tuesday when banks are empty) and see what you can get. Most banks prefer that you order boxes rather than just come in and try to buy them and will usually tell you so.

definitively order boxes. I went to a bank I am a member of and they sold me 2 boxes but told me to order if I was going to ever get more. they said the boxes are for companies or franchises that need them for business. so to not anger your bank, order the boxes. also I went to bank of america, union bank of california, and wells fargo so far. none of them charged fees for boxes, just face value.

Wanted to give an extra thanks to everyone for quick responses. Not only did I find out that PNC will get me boxes of coins without charging for them but the young lady that helped me out with this question also had me get all my info from my current bank and showed me what her bank could do for me. Anyways to make a long story short, my car loan has a cheaper interest rate now, my high yield saving account earns triple the interest that my old bank gave, the reward points system they have doesn't expire every 6 monthes (their points stay valid for 4 years), and I don't have to pay 5 dollars per box of coins I order, or have to pay 3 percent on coins I bring back if I bring more than 5 rolls back a day.

I accidently hit enter and it went through but I was going to say it feels like I found a whole roll of silver quarters or halves in a box or a whole roll of wheats
